I'm going to be honest: Full House has not stood the test of time. It's dated, cheesy, and seems downright patronizing compared to modern day family sitcoms such as Modern Family. But, I host a 90s podcast after all, so I should be able to look back at the show contextually and dismiss my current TV snob views.
I am human, however, and therefore complex and hypocritical. When I learned Netflix was drudging up the Tanners (except Michelle, who is busy killing Heath Ledger and marrying sketchy older men or whatevs) and their annoying neighbor Kimmie for another wholesome, kid friendly adventure in San Francisco, I was a bit perplexed. Didn't this just happen with Boy Meets World , which we were all super jazzed about and then promptly forgot about? Do we really need another revamped 90s series in our lives?
